# Reschedule or cancel a schedule

Change or cancel the start time or the revert time of a saved task.

## Reschedule the start

For a **Scheduled** task choose **Reschedule change** in the **⋮** menu, or **Reschedule** in the **Task status** card. Pick a new **Date** and **Time** and click **Save**. The new time uses your app timezone.

## Cancel the start schedule

Choose **Cancel change schedule** (or **Cancel schedule** in the **Task status** card). The task is kept with the status **Manual start**. Start it later with **Apply change now**, or give it a new date with **Schedule** in the **Task status** card.

## Reschedule or cancel the revert

For a task with a scheduled revert:

* **Reschedule revert** sets a new date and time. The revert must stay at least 5 minutes after the start.
* **Cancel revert schedule** removes the automatic revert. The task will not revert unless you press **Revert now** or schedule it again with **Schedule** in the **Revert status** card.

## Recurring tasks

Recurring tasks are rescheduled from the **Recurring** card on the task details page. See [Recurring tasks](/bulk-price-editor-sami/manage-tasks/recurring-tasks.md).

{% hint style="info" %}
A scheduled task cannot be moved to a date beyond your plan's scheduling window. See [Plans and pricing](/bulk-price-editor-sami/settings-and-plans/plans-and-pricing.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.samita.io/bulk-price-editor-sami/manage-tasks/reschedule.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
