Welcome to the Samita Order Limit app - your solution for setting limits on how much customers can order based on quantity, total price, or weight. Whether you're managing high-demand products, wholesale customers, or shipping constraints, this app gives you flexible control over order thresholds.
This guide will help you set up your first order limit rule in just a few steps.

Specific customers (e.g., logged-in users, tags)
Specific products or collections
All orders or checkout scenarios
✅ Before You Begin
To use the app effectively:
Make sure your theme is compatible with Shopify’s app blocks (Online Store 2.0 recommended)
Enable the app in the theme settings (see below)
1. Enable App Embed in Theme
To activate Samita Order Limit on your storefront:
From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes
Click “Customize” next to your live theme
In the left sidebar, click on “App embeds”
Find “Samita Order Limit” and toggle it ON
Click “Save” at the top right corner
2. Create Your First Order Limit Rule
In the Samita Order Limit dashboard, click “Create Rule”
Give your rule a name (e.g., “Max 10 units per order”)
Add rule conditions:
Products: apply to specific products, collections, or tags.
Customers: restrict by tags, logged-in status.
Choose your limit type:
Quantity
Total Order Amount
Total Weight
Set the minimum and/or maximum limit values
Click “Save”
💡 You can create multiple rules to suit different products or customer groups.
3. (Optional) Enable Checkout Rule in Shopify Settings
To prevent customers from bypassing limits at checkout:
Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Checkout
Scroll to the “Checkout rules” section
Click "Add rule" button
Enable the checkout rule for "Samita Order Limit" app.
🔍 Test Your Rule
To confirm your setup:
Go to your storefront and add products that match your rule
Try exceeding the set limits
You should see a warning message or be prevented from checking out
