# Change notification recipients

Set the Admin email field so quote notifications reach the right people — up to five addresses, separated by commas.

Quote notifications are only useful if they land in front of whoever prices quotes. The addresses that get them are set in **Admin email**, inside the **Mail notifications** editor.

## Change the addresses

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Open Advanced settings

In the app sidebar, click **Advanced settings**.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Go to the Email notifications tab

Choose **Email notifications** from the list of tabs.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Open the Mail notifications editor

Click the icon button at the end of the **Mail notifications** row.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Fill in Admin email

On the **Basic/Advance** tab, the **General** section holds **Email**, and under it the **Admin email** field. Type the address that should receive the notification.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Add more people, then save

Separate additional addresses with commas, then save.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Test it

Submit a test quote request from your storefront and confirm everyone on the list receives it.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## How many addresses you can add

The field's own help text spells out the limit:

{% hint style="info" %}
"You can add multiple email addresses, separated by commas. A maximum of 5 addresses is allowed. Contact us to increase the number of emails added."
{% endhint %}

**Contact us** is a page in the app sidebar, and you can email <support@samita.io> directly.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Multiple email addresses** is listed on the **PREMIUM** plan. If the field will not take a second address and you see a greyed control with a padlock line reading "🔐 This feature is available on …", that is your plan rather than a fault — **Pricing plans** in the app sidebar shows what each plan includes. See also [Plan comparison](/sa-request-a-quote/reference/plan-comparison.md).
{% endhint %}

## Who should be on the list

Five slots go quickly, so spend them well.

<table><thead><tr><th width="270">Include</th><th>Why</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>A shared team inbox</td><td>The best use of a single slot. Cover for holidays and staff changes without editing this field again.</td></tr><tr><td>Whoever prices quotes</td><td>They need to see the request to act on it.</td></tr><tr><td>A manager, if approvals are needed</td><td>Only if they genuinely approve pricing — otherwise it is noise they will start ignoring.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="success" %}
One address such as `sales@` that forwards to your team beats five individuals. Quotes do not go unanswered when someone is away, and you never hit the five-address limit.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Always test after changing this. A typo, or a stray space after a comma, means quotes silently go nowhere — and you will not find out until a customer follows up.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
Even if a notification goes astray, the request itself is safe. Every submission appears in **Quote list**, on the page headed **Quotes**.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.samita.io/sa-request-a-quote/emails/change-recipients.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
