# Set up Free shipping in the Extra fee feature

You can pair free shipping with an extra fee rule — useful when you want to offset the extra charge with a shipping perk.

## Steps to manage

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Start a new extra fee rule

Go to **Extra fee** settings, click **Add new extra fee**, then configure the customer condition and products this rule applies to.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Set the rule's scope

Choose the scope — **Quantity**, **Amount**, or **Weight** — and set the range (e.g. "buying from … units gets free shipping").
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Turn on Free ship

Tick the **Free ship** checkbox, then enter `0` in the **Value** field.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Save

Click **Save**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Applying free shipping when multiple products have extra fees

If several products in the order carry an extra fee, you can control exactly when free shipping kicks in.

* **Toggle on:** free shipping activates as soon as **at least one** product in the order satisfies the extra fee rule.
* **Toggle off (default):** free shipping only activates once **every** eligible product in the order satisfies the extra fee rule.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.samita.io/samita-wholesale-b2b/add-on-features/create-an-extra-fee/set-up-free-shipping-in-the-extra-fee-feature.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
