## Plans and setup

### Do I need Shopify Plus or B2B?

Only for companies. Shopify creates companies on plans that include B2B. On other plans, approving still creates the customer, turns on **B2B approved** for them and keeps the company in the app, and your store access rules treat that customer as approved. See [Approve an application](/sami-b2b-onboarding/reviewing-applications/approve-an-application.md).

### Does it work with my theme?

The app runs in your theme through an app embed, which you switch on once per theme. Hiding prices and add to cart works with the price and buy-button markup that Dawn and most Online Store 2.0 themes use. If your theme draws them differently, [contact support](/sami-b2b-onboarding/help/contact-support.md). See [Turn on the app embed](/sami-b2b-onboarding/getting-started/turn-on-the-app-embed.md).

### Do buyers need a customer account to apply?

No, not by default. Anyone can apply, and the customer is created when you approve. To ask buyers to log in first, see [Ask buyers to log in before applying](/sami-b2b-onboarding/store-access/log-in-before-applying.md).

## Forms and languages

### Can I have several application forms?

Yes. Create as many as you need in **Forms**, for example one for resellers and one for distributors. Each published form gets its own page on your store, and one form is your default. See [Application forms](/sami-b2b-onboarding/application-forms/application-forms.md).

### Can buyers apply in their own language?

Yes. In **Settings › Translate**, click **Add language**, pick one of your store's languages and translate the form, its emails and the storefront messages. Buyers see the form in the language of the storefront they browse, and get their emails in the language they applied in. See [Translate](/sami-b2b-onboarding/settings/translate.md).

## Store access

### Is hiding prices secure?

Hiding prices and add to cart changes what your theme shows, so someone determined can still find a price in the page's code. What can't be bypassed is **Block checkout while pending**: Shopify checks it inside checkout, so a buyer who isn't approved can't place the order. See [Block checkout until approved](/sami-b2b-onboarding/store-access/block-checkout-until-approved.md).

### Can I let a customer buy wholesale without an application?

Yes. In Shopify admin, open the customer and turn on **B2B approved**. Your access rules and the checkout block then treat them as approved. See [Block checkout until approved](/sami-b2b-onboarding/store-access/block-checkout-until-approved.md#approve-a-customer-by-hand).

## Reviewing and automation

### Can I import my existing wholesale customers?

Yes, two ways. **Sync from Shopify** brings the companies you already have in Shopify into the app. A CSV import adds companies to the app only, without creating anything in Shopify. See [Sync companies from Shopify](/sami-b2b-onboarding/companies/sync-from-shopify.md) and [Import companies from a CSV file](/sami-b2b-onboarding/companies/import-companies-from-csv.md).

### What if a buyer is already a customer in my store?

When you approve, the app finds the customer with the same email and uses them instead of creating a second one. Your form decides whether their details are kept or updated. See [Existing Shopify customers](/sami-b2b-onboarding/integrations/existing-shopify-customers.md).

### Can a rejected buyer try again?

Yes, if you choose **Let them update it and send it again** when you reject. The buyer can then change their application and send it back. See [Reject an application](/sami-b2b-onboarding/reviewing-applications/reject-an-application.md).

### Can I use Shopify Flow?

Yes. The app gives Flow six triggers (**Application received**, **Application revised**, **Application approved**, **Revision requested**, **Application rejected** and **Company created**) and three actions (**Approve application**, **Reject application** and **Request more information**). See [Automations and Shopify Flow](/sami-b2b-onboarding/automation/automations-and-shopify-flow.md).

### Who on my team can use the app?

Staff you give the app to in Shopify. In the app, each person is an **Admin**, who can change everything, or a **Reviewer**, who works through applications and companies. See [Team and roles](/sami-b2b-onboarding/settings/team-and-roles.md).

## Data

### Where are buyers' uploaded files kept?

In private storage, in a folder of their own for your store. Nobody can open a file from a public link: your staff download it through the app, with a link that works for five minutes. See [Permissions and data](/sami-b2b-onboarding/reference/permissions-and-data.md).

### What happens to my data if I uninstall the app?

Shortly after you uninstall, the app deletes everything it holds for your store, including applications, uploaded files and the companies in its list. What the app created in Shopify, such as customers, companies and tags, stays in Shopify. Export anything you want to keep first. See [Permissions and data](/sami-b2b-onboarding/reference/permissions-and-data.md#when-you-uninstall-the-app).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.samita.io/sami-b2b-onboarding/help/faq.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
